I love Richmond, VA (a.k.a. the 804.) I grew up on the Southside and now live in the Near West End. Since I grew up here, I feel like it is part of my roots. I admit I am biased towards the 804 because my family and most of my friends live here. I love being able to go to a bar and run into someone who you haven't seen since high school. I must admit I am bittersweet about going to med school next year away from Richmond. I really want to be a doctor but I also like the 804.
Richmond has character. It has an eclectic population from the ghettoness of some areas to the inability of some people to get over the fact that the South lost the Civil War. I love Belle Isle. It is a great place to relax by some rapids and look at the city.
