I signed up for a free trial membership at American Family Fitness and I have realized the following:
1. There is at least a 3:1 girl to guy ratio, which is awesome. The gym seems to be the place to meet girls.
2. The gym is nothing but a pseudodate. People are always secretly eyeing other people of the opposite sex and then they quickly look the other way to pretend they were watching ESPN highlights on the TV the whole time when the person of the opposite sex catches them staring.
3. There is a direct relationship between age and the percentage of body that is not clothed in the locker room
(This is so weird but the older people get the more they think it is just allright to wear less clothes or not wear clothes at all in the locker room. I think when guys turn 50 they think they can walk around without their shirt on, when guys turn 60 they think they can walk around in just boxers, and when guys turn 70 they think they can walk around the locker room with no clothes at all. This direct correlation really bothers me. It should be an inverse relationship because people get less attractive as they get older, but for some reason in the human psyche they think the opposite.)
9/3/10- A few years later this trend still holds up. Old dudes have no problem getting naked at gyms. I don't know why. This needs to stop.
