Thiago Alcantara to Manchester United
This move seems to make sense for all sides, except Barcelona's future. United want a stud in midfield to play with Carrick. Alcantara is certainly a competent central midfielder and deserves playing time but can't find it because of the long queue of capable central midfielders at Barcelona. Therefore, a cheap club like United would pull the strings on the 17 million pound transfer clause and get a steal of a deal in Thiago Alcantara. It looks like the only thing left to be negotiated is that Thiago wants another buy-out clause based on appearances for Manchester United. If Thiago signs for United, both he and United will be happy. He will get the playing time he wants to try to qualify for Spain's World Cup Team and United will get the central midfield compliment they need to Carrick. A match made in heaven for Thiago and Manchester United if you ask me.
